You are a junior consultant in the Global Strategy division of a multinational corporation. Your leadership team is developing an internal training manual to improve cross-cultural competency among its international managers.

Task

Write a formal academic report that addresses the following:

"Why is cross-cultural awareness important nowadays? Discuss this question in the context of ANY one specific cross-cultural management topic that you have covered in this module. Use the cultural dimensions proposed by Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars to analyse your chosen topic, and critically evaluate the contribution, limitations, and relevance of both models to contemporary cross-cultural management."

Select and explain the most relevant dimensions of Trompenaars' model (e.g., Universalism/Particularism, Achievement/Ascription) and apply them to analyse the same topic. Compare and contrast how Trompenaars' approach differs from Hofstede’s in this context.
