Prepare the Group Presentation:

Deliver a group presentation to your seminar lead lecturer. The presentation will be strictly limited to 10 minutes and will be stopped once the time limit is reached. The presentation will be scheduled in April. Detailed arrangements will be announced on LMS. Every group member must participate.

The presentation should:

  • Discuss how the theory explains or addresses the issues in the news.

Participate in the Q&A Session:

Submit the Written Report:

Write a 1,600- 2,000-word report(excluding references) that includes the following parts:

Explain the chosen theory, the issues in the news, and how the theory explains or solves those issues. This serves as a summary of the content covered by the presentation. (400-500 words)

Include the following additional analyses:

a. Stakeholder Impact Analysis (400-500 words):

  • Analyze the impact of the issue discussed in the news on three types of stakeholders: shareholders, creditors, and managers/employees.
  • Use theories to explain how these stakeholders might interpret or respond to the issue.
  • Discuss potential conflicts of interest among these stakeholders.

b. Theoretical Limitations and Extensions (400-500 words):

  • Critically evaluate the limitations of the theory in explaining the issue.
  • Propose extensions or modifications to the theory to better address the issue.

c. Critical Reflection (400-500 words):

  • Reflect on the group's learning process, including how the theory helped (or did not help) in understanding the news.
  • Discuss challenges faced in reconciling the theory with the real-world issue and how they were overcome.
  • Share personal insights or takeaways from the assignment.

The written report should cover ALL of the aspects listed above. The report should be submitted in LMS by April 14th, 11:59 pm.
