Assessment Title | Entrepreneurial Practice Coursework brief May – Sept, 2025 |
Academic Year | May Sept 2025 |
Submission Deadline | 31st July 2025 at 18.00 |
This is an individual assignment based on a critical analysis of a real organisational issue and includes a presentation of findings and a proposal of a business divestment. To complete this assignment, you must choose ONE out of the THREE case studies videos provided. You will base your assignment on this chosen video. If you use a different case study to the ones provided you will fail and receive 0% grade.
The assignment consists of a 3,500-word equivalent portfolio of three tasks. To complete this assignment, you must:
You would be assessed on ALL three tasks.
Write a short report based on your choice of ONE out of three employer case study videos. The assessment case study videos are as follows.
You are required to choose only ONE of the assessment case studies above.
Your report must include:
The questions to be covered in your briefing note are repeated here.
(Task 2A briefing note- 1000 words, 30% of marks)
Create 2 slides narrated power point presentation. The first slide will be your cover slide. This slide will have your students' no, your chosen assessment video/ organisation, timing, and word count. This presentation will last for 3 minutes. The guide to the maximum word count for your 3-minute narration is 300 to 400 words (for voice recording), and your actual slide could have up to 100 words. We recommend you use more visual expressions on your slides with less textual information on your slides since the task is a narrated presentation, and most textual information would have been captured in your narration.
(500 words, 20% of marks)
The second slide is the only narrated slide and will be 3 3-minute narrated presentation revealing the pitch of your briefing note, which should address the following questions/issues.
Please note: Consider your audience to be fellow employees and managers, including top senior managers and the Board of Directors within the case study organisation; therefore, your PowerPoint presentation must be professional in layout and your narration must be clear and convincing, using the right tonality and pitch.
Write a reflective personal and professional account.
Create a reflective writing on one of the professional areas from the CMI Code of Conduct and Practice from www.managers.org.uk/code, ensuring you also elaborate further on how you would apply it to your own current or future professional career.
You can use a reflective model such as Gibbs, Kolb, Rolfe, Burton, etc, including any professional and systematic model.
(500 words, 10% of marks)
There is a 10% mark for referencing and structured format across the three tasks.
