4002 Outline of the task

Review and critically analysis one NICE guideline in relation to how it informs treatment pathways and addresses demographic and social variants in health and social care delivery.  

This assignment has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your achievement of the following module learning outcomes:

LO1    Identify how NICE guidelines inform health and social care practice.  
LO2    Review service provisions according to policy goals.
LO3    Identify some common health inequalities (demographic and social variations) in health and social care settings.

Suggested Framework to structure the task

There are many different NICE guidelines to choose from, pick a topic that you are interested in, or consider one of these three options. But it must be approved by the class lecturer.

Health Inequalities 

Identify vulnerable groups in the guidance and the barriers they face. 

Critically discuss the solutions in the guidelines that will ensure access to support.  

Discuss whether the review has adequately outlined health inequalities.

Considerations for policy makers and service delivery
