4000HRM Assignment Task

This assignment requires you to read the case study: “Axis and Allies Marketing” in the separate PDF document. The document will be found in the Aula page/ Materials/ Assessment.

Write a 2000-word report drawing on appropriate organisational behaviour theory and people management practices which addresses the following issues:

  1. Analyse the key issues for Axis and Allies Marketing in attracting and retaining employees.
  2. Evaluate the impact of leadership, organisational structure and culture on the teams that work at Axis and Allies Marketing
  3. Make 3 recommendations as to how Axis and Allies Marketing can ensure that their people management practices are preparing them for future growth

Plan of Case Study Analysis (and word count guidance)

  1. Introduction and background (250 words)
    Identify the key problems and issues in the case study.
    Set the scene: background information, relevant facts, and the most important issues
  2. Analysis and evaluation of the case (1500 words)
    Outline the various pieces of the case study that you are focusing on in relation to points 1 and 2 of the assignment tasks
  3. Conclusions & Recommendations (250 words)
  4. References (not included in word count)

  2. In learning how to apply their subject and professional knowledge and skills in relevant contexts, they will also demonstrate their ability to Get things done. In choosing which academic sources to apply to which real-life cases, students will develop the ability to make logical and well thought through decisions.
  3. Act with integrity – Students’ work must be their own and should not incorporate uncited content produced by others. In analysing the real-life cases, students will reflect on the actions of managers and organisations and the consequences these have for equality, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
