Welcome to the PBS7000J Capstone Project Module where you will independently select, research and analyse a significant managerial decision based on a problem or an opportunity or issue.

A formative presentation in your June study block will help to make sure your dissertation is progressing in a timely fashion, you understand and can communicate your project appropriately, and you are developing appropriate dissemination skills. You will then develop a 4500 (+/-10%) word count journal article-style dissertation submission.

The aim of this module is to enable students to be able to understand, critique and apply evidence-based practice (EBP) to their own professional area.  Students will learn how to use research and the literature to guide best practice.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, June Bates, a 20-year-old university student, visited her family for Christmas in 2020. While attending university, she lived in shared accommodation with other students, none of whom had any symptoms of COVID-19 when she left for home. However, three days after her arrival, one of her housemates informed her that they had developed a mild, cold-like illness.
